10th USE Cup Judan Tournament Awards Ceremony Concludes Successfully
Amid fierce competition among top Go players, Hsu Hao-Hung claimed the championship title at the 10th USE Cup Judan Tournament, along with a prize of NT$700,000. Lin Li-Hsiang (8-dan) was awarded second place, and Lin Chun-Yen (8-dan) secured third place. The awards ceremony was held on November 12, 2020, at USE Sake Garden, concluding the event on a successful note.
Since 2011, USE Electronics Co., Ltd. has been the title sponsor of the USE Cup Judan Tournament, marking its 10th anniversary this year. The tournament has continued to expand in scale and is now the fifth largest professional Go tournament in Taiwan, following the Mingren Championship, The Taiwan Weiqi Ace Tournament, Taiwan Tianyuan Tournament, and UMC Cup Go Tournament.
Despite the global suspension of many competitions in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chairperson Junko Kato remained committed to supporting professional Go in Taiwan. By bringing together corporate support and the enthusiasm of Go players and fans, USE Electronics continues to contribute to the development of the professional Go environment in Taiwan.
