USE Promotes Arts and Culture, Invites Japanese Bizen Ware Master Isezaki Kyo to Taiwan for "Colors of the Four Seasons" Concert
A special cultural event titled "Colors of the Four Seasons" was held on February 11, 2023, featuring renowned Japanese Bizen ware master Isezaki Kyo, who was invited to Taiwan by USE Sake Garden and Pâtisserie ISM. The concert took place at Pâtisserie ISM, with USE Electronics Co., Ltd. CEO and President Junko Kato attending the event to greet guests and experience this unique performance that blended visual art with music.
The event highlighted "Colors of the Four Seasons – An Appreciation Concert Featuring Japan's Cultural Heritage: Bizen Ware." Originating from the Inbe area of Bizen City in Okayama Prefecture, Bizen ware has a history spanning nearly a thousand years and was recognized as a Japan Heritage cultural asset in 2017.
Master Isezaki Kyo brought his creations to Taiwan, sharing the spirit and beauty of Bizen ware with local audiences. Featuring expressions such as Hidasuki, Botamochi, Goma, and natural kiln variations, his works engaged in an artistic dialogue with music performed by CHEN, SHIH-LIN, cellist and founder of Pâtisserie ISM, and his wife, Japanese pianist Miki Fujihara. Guests also enjoyed a curated pairing of Sakehitosuji Junmai Ginjo sake with Pâtisserie ISM's artisanal desserts, creating a rich, multi-sensory cultural experience.
