2000x670

At the "Art × Intelligence × Future – A Feast of Technology and Humanity" communication event held on March 21, 2023, at Windsor Hotel Taichung, USE Electronics Co., Ltd. brought together suppliers and customers for an inspiring gathering combining artistic appreciation, social contribution, and collaborative business opportunities under its Sharing Platform initiative.

Upholding the Values of Partnership and Shared Growth: USE Hosts Its First Communication Forum

USE Electronics Co., Ltd., upholding the values of partnership and shared growth, hosted this communication forum for the first time. During her opening remarks, CEO and President Junko Kato expressed sincere appreciation to all attending guests for giving USE Electronics the opportunity to hold this event. She noted that after two years of the COVID‑19 pandemic and amid today's uncertain global environment, it was especially meaningful to gather suppliers and customers to discuss "challenges in the post‑COVID‑19 era" and "corporate sustainability."

Since March this year, USE Electronics has adopted a refreshed corporate identity and brand logo to strengthen our brand presence across the fields of technical service, electrical, electronics, and mechanical engineering. Through this event, we aimed to introduce the new identity and reaffirm our commitment to connecting suppliers and customers while delivering even higher‑quality service.

Named the "USE Partners Communication Day," the event aimed to strengthen relationships, spark new ideas, and encourage open dialogue between suppliers and clients. We extend special gratitude to our four collaborating partners—Delta Electronics, Inc., TAIWAN CKD CORPORATION, THK TAIWAN CO., LTD., and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.—for their dedicated preparation in creating a meaningful experience for all participants.

In honor of the long-standing friendship between Taiwan and Japan, we integrated themes of corporate responsibility and sustainability into the program. Guests were invited to enjoy curated Japanese sake selections and appreciate Bizen ware—recognized as part of Japan's cultural heritage—while learning the stories behind each cultural element. We hoped all attendees could enjoy a rich blend of dialogue, cultural experience, and artistic engagement.

Panel Session 1: "Challenges for 2030 – Accelerating Strategic Transformation for Sustainable Growth"

Barry Lai, Vice President, USE Electronics Co., Ltd., discussed the economic rebound following the easing of the COVID‑19 pandemic and reiterated our goal of providing a valuable platform for suppliers and customers. He highlighted industry trends—from the evolution of mobile technology to the rapid emergence of electric vehicles as the next major opportunity—and introduced our team's developments in after‑sales service applications and robotic calibration integration tools.

Delta Electronics, Inc.'s Advanced Operational Technology Director, Peter Peng, emphasized integrating CSR into sustainable development and preparing for decentralized global manufacturing. He noted that without strong channels and communication platforms like those offered by USE Electronics, critical information and innovation could not flow effectively. Through shared collaboration, he said, companies can co‑create opportunities and expand value together.

Delta Electronics, Inc.'s General Manager, Motion System Business Base, Industrial Automation Business Group (IABG), Simon Huang, further elaborated on how integrating sustainability and intelligent manufacturing—from design to production to end‑user processes—strengthens digital industry ecosystems and enhances virtual‑physical integration.

Panel Session 2: "Corporate Sustainability Toward 2030 – ESG Focus and Implementation"

In the second session, USE Vice President Barry Lai highlighted the increasing global focus on climate change and the urgent need for enterprises to strengthen their ESG readiness. He elaborated on the interrelationship among ESG, CSR, and the UN SDGs, emphasizing that companies must adopt a proactive approach to sustainability. He also shared USE Electronics' ESG initiatives, including the implementation of an energy‑monitoring diagnostic system in our factory. Through the first‑stage "visualization," the system identifies high‑consumption equipment and helps customers develop energy‑saving improvement proposals. Our team will continue advancing toward our ESG goals. Speakers from partner companies also contributed their perspectives:

  • Delta Electronics, Inc., represented by Frank Wu, Assistant Manager, Intelligent Solutions Business Development Department, Industrial Automation Business Group (IABG), shared Delta's extensive experience accumulated over the years in promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction. He discussed how Delta extends its own sustainability practices to clients, enabling clean‑energy adoption and sustainable industrial operations to achieve long‑term carbon‑reduction objectives.

  • TAIWAN CKD CORPORATION, represented by William Lien, introduced the company's background and explained how CKD's current product offerings support customers in advancing ESG initiatives. He also shared CKD's ongoing efforts and achievements in ESG.
