Advancing Building Safety: USE and THK CoHost Seismic Isolation System Launch Event

To promote the wider adoption of seismicisolation systems in Taiwan and to deepen Taiwan–Japan collaboration in seismicprotection technologies, USE Electronics Co., Ltd. hosted a THK Seismic Isolation System Presentation Tea Gathering on January 17 at its Taipei headquarters. Representatives from THK Co., Ltd.'s ACE Division and THK TAIWAN CO., LTD. were invited to share realworld applications of THK's seismicisolation solutions with Taiwanese architects.
Building a New Bridge for Taiwan–Japan Technical Collaboration
As a comprehensive trading company approaching its 50th anniversary this April, we continue to strengthen ties between Taiwan and Japan through business development and cultural exchange. Our business portfolio spans electronic components and materials, automation and electromechanical products, glass and stone processing equipment, as well as specialty Japanese beverages and premium food and beverage products from across Asia. During the presentation, Mr. Yuji Kotake — Head of the ACE Division at THK's Industrial Machinery Headquarters — introduced various types of seismicisolation devices for buildings and industrial equipment. Mr. Tomokazu Oku — Head of ACE Development Section II within the ACE Development Unit, ACE Division, THK Industrial Machinery Headquarters — also engaged in indepth discussions with participating architects and shared case studies showing how THK's seismicisolation technologies have protected highvalue equipment, landmark buildings, cultural assets, and national treasures throughout Japan.
The event concluded successfully, and we extend our sincere appreciation to all guests, as well as to representatives from THK Co., Ltd.'s ACE Division and THK Taiwan for their participation. Through this collaboration, we aim to introduce THK's seismicisolation technologies more widely to Taiwan's architectural sector, promote localized application, and help enhance the seismic resilience and safety of buildings throughout Taiwan.
