Building Bridges in Architecture: UNION Sand Casting Showcase at USE Electronics Taipei Headquarters
From June 3 to 5, USE Electronics Co., Ltd. held a special sand casting demonstration at our Taipei headquarters, featuring representatives from Japan's leading architectural hardware brand Union Co., Ltd. The event offered Taiwanese architects and designers a rare opportunity to experience the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design up close.
UNION's Premium Door Handles: Reviving a Century-Old Craft
The showcase was led by Mr. Shintaro Nakai, Manager of Advertising and Promotion at Union Co., Ltd., and Mr. Yuya Okuda from the Product Development Department. They demonstrated the intricate sand casting process, complemented by video presentations explaining the precision and artistry behind each step. The session also highlighted custom projects in Taiwan and collaborations with renowned Japanese designers, along with a guided tour of bespoke installations at our headquarters—reflecting a design philosophy that blends modern architectural needs with timeless craftsmanship.
