Japanese Craftsmanship Exhibition Opens June 1 at USE Sake Garden with Free Fukuju Sake Tasting

A special Japanese Craftsmanship Exhibition will be held at USE Sake Garden starting June 1. The event is organized by USE Electronics Co., Ltd., bringing together artisans from the Kansai Traditional Craft Culture Association—including textile, glass, and ceramic artists—who will travel to Taiwan to present their works. The exhibition runs from June 1 to June 30, 2024, and is open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM with free admission. Through this event, we hope to promote cultural exchange between local visitors in Taiwan and Japanese artisans, enriching everyday life through craftsmanship.

Connecting People Through Sake and Culture

The Japanese Craftsmanship Exhibition is part of an annual cultural initiative by Kobe Shushinkan, a long-term partner of USE Electronics Co., Ltd. and the producer of the renowned Fukuju sake. Founded in 1751, Kobe Shushinkan continues to uphold traditional hand-crafted brewing techniques, reflected in every drop of Fukuju. With the belief that fine sake and cultural engagement can strengthen human connections, the brewery collaborates with partners to foster cultural exchange and create warm, harmonious communities.

The opening day event on June 1 featured a Fukuju sake tasting session at USE Sake Garden. Junko Kato, CEO and President of USE Electronics Co., Ltd., extended her gratitude to Chairman Yukio Yasufuku and Vice President Hironobu Kubota of Kobe Shushinkan, as well as the artisans from the Kansai Craft Association, for attending the event. She also thanked distinguished guests for celebrating the opening day together.

Meet the Artisans — Free Admission with Complimentary Fukuju Sake Tasting

The exhibition brings together five distinguished Japanese artisans: textile dyeing artist Hiroko Yamaguchi, glass artist Kayo Maede, and ceramic artists Toyoko Gonjo, Toshiyo Nakano, and Hirofumi Arayama, each presenting their unique craftsmanship and creative expressions.

During the exhibition period, USE Sake Garden will offer a series of exclusive promotions for visitors. Guests can enjoy 20% off selected Fukuju sake from Kobe Shushinkan, along with a complimentary glass of Fukuju Junmai Ginjo upon entering the exhibition. In addition, those who participate in event activities or complete a questionnaire will receive an extra complimentary serving of Fukuju Daiginjo. Visitors who make purchases totaling over NT$10,000 will also receive 10% off storewide, with the exception of discounted items, Nousaku tinware, and whisky.
